Wow, this girl. Lady M came all the way from Chicago for her Denver Boudoir Photography Experience. She is another example of why I love doing what I do. Being introduced to amazing women who influence my world is nothing short of priceless. Lady M is a modern day Super Woman.
Tell us about yourself girl!
Just a Chicago girl that wanted to capture how I feel on the inside and completely reflect that outwardly in a beautiful set of photos.
Were you nervous about having a boudoir experience?
Of course! But, any nervousness quickly faded into relaxation with Mackenzie’s dynamic yet calm vibe. It felt like I was heading to a friend’s house that I had known for forever.
What made you decide to go ahead and take the plunge?
My body may be perfectly imperfect and I’m finally “okay” with every ounce of it. Veins, scars, a little cellulite. I’m celebrating this one and only body.
What was your biggest fear or challenge coming into your shoot?
That I would be overly critical of myself.
After your shoot- was it what you expected or different?
I could NOT stop smiling. I felt like I had a big secret. It was better than I expected. It was one of the highlights of my life, and that is no exaggeration.
What was your favorite part of the whole experience?
My favorite part was really getting into the experience. I’m not very extroverted so this was a moment to shatter my comfort zone.
How did seeing your images make you feel?
I felt like a the most gorgeous girl in the world. My confidence is sky high right now!
Has this experience affected your day to day life? Do you see yourself differently?
I walk a little taller and continually keep my head high. My ability to look people in the eye and brag about my experience is incredibly freeing.
What would you say to a woman who is on the fence about having their own experience?
Don’t think about, be about it. Just do it. This may be a once-in-lifetime experience with this caliber of photography.
How was it working with Kenzie?
A professional and enlightening experience. She truly loves what she does. Her Purpose is being fulfilled with her art. That’s what these photos are: art.
Would you do it again?
In less than a heartbeat: YES.
